Abstract
This paper consider the problem of strength of a manufactured item facing Lindley distributed stress and power function distribution as strength in a different prospective i.e. by finding the relationship among the parameters of these distributions. Further, it has been shown that how these results can be utilized to get optimum cost when the cost function is linear in terms of parameters.
