Abstract
In this paper the capacity design of Backlog Queue length is studied for various scenarios. The Backlog Queue is modeled as Erlang loss model and the connection blocking probability is taken as Quality of Service (QoS).  To investigate a new capacity design technique for number of TCP connections. Erlang-B formula is used for capacity planning in Tele Communication networks. There is a complexity in calculation of Erlang-B formula for high values of traffic and number of connections. Several Erlang-B calculators are also available in the web, but their operations are performed limited values. To overcome these problems we developed a regression based Capacity Design Tables (CDT) for which based on methodology proposed and results are present.
