Abstract
A generic procedure is developed for measurement and analysis of TCP connection establishment mechanism. The windump data from an educational website for one day period with one hour duration of time is collected. In this paper, the dynamics of Backlog Queue at TCP connection establishment mechanism of web server by passive measurements are studied. The traffic intensity is taken as a measure to identify the status of Backlog Queue for various connection arrival patterns
